Port of Oakland Crane Procurement

The Port of Oakland needed new cranes to maintain state-of-the-art equipment. The port purchased the first three new cranes from ZPMC, a relatively new vendor in the United States at that time.

Liftech Consultants Inc. and McKay International Engineers assisted Port of Oakland engineers with the procurement specifications, evaluated technical portions of the bids, and reviewed the designs and quality control documents.

Liftech reviewed construction in China and witnessed testing and acceptance of the first crane. Since that time, Liftech has assisted the port in purchasing several additional cranes from ZPMC.
