Oakland Chinatown Chamber of Commerce Honors Liftech and Employees

On the evening of April 20th, the Oakland Chinatown Chamber of Commerce (OCCC) held their 26th Anniversary Spring Banquet.  This banquet marks the transition of the Chamber’s board president and is an opportunity to recognize organizations providing exceptional services to the community.

As part of his long-term commitment to the community, our own Sugi Loni, principal structural engineer, volunteered his time and talent as the Chamber’s president.  Sugi received a plaque for his “strong leadership and extraordinary dedication and service” during his two-year term as president.

Liftech and Mike Jordan, CEO, received special recognition for their contributions to the community.  Mike Jordan and Arun Bhimani, President, accepted the certificates on behalf of Liftech.

Mike Jordan received a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from Congresswoman Barbara Lee for “pioneering the structural design for the world’s first high speed, dockside, container handling crane, and in recognition of outstanding and invaluable service to the community.”
