Ceres Paragon Terminal Crane Procurement

Nine cranes will operate on both sides of a ship in an indented berth. The cranes will serve future vessels with 22 containers across. Together, the nine cranes are expected to provide a turnaround of 300 containers per hour. Five south cranes will go around the corner between the indented berth and a straight berth.

Liftech participated in the conceptualization of the indented berth facility and quay cranes, prepared the crane procurement specifications, and assisted the clients with bid evaluations. Liftech’s scope of work included review of the design, construction, and commissioning.

The key design issues are strict noise abatement and collision protection for cranes operating at the indented berth and at the corner.
