Lu Yan, a Liftech project engineer, received her California civil engineer license June 1, 2017. She holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and master’s degree in structural engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
During her two years with Liftech, Lu has participated in structural analysis, design review, and feasibility studies of container cranes and other structures.
When we asked Lu what she did to celebrate, she said, “I adopted a 15-pound cat right after I got my license. I think helping an obese cat lose weight is a harder task than doing engineering work!”
